Rolls Royce finish, Robin Reliant budget.

This is a 10 year old flat pack kitchen from Wickes and is at the bottom of bottom end, to be fare. For it's age it's was not looking good and in need of a bit of work but nothing we can't sort. Apart from a complete change of colour there was a lot of addition work to be done, from a change of worktop to change of tiles and a lot of cabinet structure work. First the doors are removed to the workshop where they are cleaned, prepped and painted. The doors are in good condition and are easy turn around. While the doors are drying in the workshop i returned to clean and prep the units, this will take a little longer than normal the inside on the units is going to to be paint. Don't normally paint the inside of the units as its not very cost effective but in some cases if the client wishes than I will happily do it. Next day everything to masked and sprayed, 2x undercoat and 3x topcoats. It's fast drying paint so this all done in a day.
The final day (and my favourite) fitting of the doors and this can't be rushed. New copper T-bar handles are fitted which really go well with the dark anthracite and match perfectly. Painting a kitchen such a dark colour takes a bit of courage as it can make the rest of the room feel dark but in this case the room is well lit with down lights and natural light, so it's a safe bet. Addition work undertaken by us are the new side panels, cornice, pelmet and kick boards. Removal of old extractor fan and fitment of overhead concealed extractor. New worktop and tiles where fitted once again all by us. The tiles are 'Cotton mill' from Topps tiles and look amazing with the Anthracite on the doors. Really enjoyed this job as it's more to my own personal taste so was easy to understand where the client was going with this.
